THE MEMBERSHIP
  • There are over 150 members which include families and seniors.
  • In a housing co-op, members have shares in the entire project and lease particular units for their exclusive use – in a sense, co-op members are both landlords and tenants.
  • By establishing their own rules and policies, setting their budgets, and taking democratic control of the management and administration of their co-op, members share the benefits and responsibilities of home ownership.

  • 1483 Lamey’s Mill Road, at the entrance of Granville Island in Vancouver, British Columbia
BUILDING
  • There are 103 units that make up the Co-op. Our building is 8 stories tall and has a concrete frame.

  • Accessibility: We have two elevators and a mixture of indoor and exterior entry suites.
FACILITIES & AMENITIES
  • Heat & hot water: Heat and hot water are excluded from the housing charges and operate on an individual BC Hydro account.
  • Laundry: There is a communal laundry room 7 washers and 8 dryers. Each wash is 50 cents, and dryer is 50 cents per load.
  • Parking: Underground parking is available. There is only one parking stall per unit, no exceptions.
  • Pets: Two cats or caged animals are allowed per unit. Must have annual vaccinations.
  • Daycare: We have a 18 month – 36 month daycare on the premises.  There is a waitlist for entry.
  • Green Space: There is a children’s play area which members can use when the daycare is not in use, and large lawn. Also serene garden and vegetable garden maintained by our Gardening Committee for members to use.
  • Views: Views vary from suite to suite and include Science World, Granville Island Kids Market and False Creek.
  • Amenity Room and Areas: There is a large amenity room with kitchen with washrooms on our main floor. We also have an outdoor bbq space. These are free for members to book.
